Texas Flood Relief
ARLINGTON, Texas – Following the devastating Texas Hill Country flooding, Texas country singer, Pat Green, whose family was among the thousands suffering losses, turned his personal grief toward a positive end.
On Wednesday, July 16, Green hosted Pat Green and Friends: Texas Flood Relief Livestream from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The special non-ticketed benefit was streamed live on YouTube with no in-person audience, carrying forward the collective outpouring of love Green had received from so many.
In partnership with the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment, a large lineup of artists came together, including Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley, Parker McCollum, Corey Kent, Casey Donahew, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Josh Abbott, Ryan Bingham, Eli Young Band, Flatland Cavalry, Joe Nichols, Kaitlin Butts, Ty Myers, Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, Jon Wolfe and Bob Schneider—among many others who contributed to this evening.
Through the generosity of fans, over a million dollars was raised and distributed to Kerr County Relief, TEXSAR, and the Do It For Durrett Foundation through The Pat Green Foundation, directly benefiting families affected by the July 4th flooding in the Texas Hill Country. On August 16, Green personally presented these donations to the organizations on stage at his show at Luckenbach Texas.
As previously reported, the July 4 flood of the Guadalupe River in Central Texas claimed the lives of Green’s younger brother John, John’s wife Julia and their two young sons. They were four of the 129 people confirmed lost.
This effort reflects the power of community and the lasting impact that can be made when people come together in times of need. In the face of brokenness, Texans stand strong together, bound by resilience, generosity, and a commitment to one another. The full livestream can be viewed here:https://givebutter.com/X8we2r
